Answer: The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requires schools systems to inspect their buildings for material containing asbestos, form asbestos management plans and execute those plans to reduce the hazard. The act also requires the EPA to form model response plans.
Question 2: What does the Asbestos Information Act state?
Answer: This law provides the public with insight as to what products contain asbestos by requiring manufacturers to provide a list of production to the EPA.
